DEMUR, Boris, artist, theoretician (Zagreb, 6/9/1951 – 6/16/2014). He graduated from the Painting department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of Prof R. Goldoni in 1975, and from the Graphic Arts department in the class of Prof A. Kinert in 1977. From 1975 to 1977, he was an associate in the master class workshop led by Lj. Ivančić. He is one of the founders of the Group of six artists. Demur explores Art Informel, body art, analytical, anachronistic, post-conceptual and primary painting and his works include tautologies, performance art, actions, ambient art and dual art. He has held solo exhibitions in Zagreb, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Rovinj, Zadar, Koprivnica and international cities.
