STILINOVIĆ, Mladen, international artist (Belgrade, 4/10/1947 – Pula, 7/18, 2016). He worked with experimental film, photography, collage, objects. He is one of the cofounders of the Group of six artists. Within the conceptualist-oriented group, he staged actions and public space interventions from 1975. He analyzed the relationship between pictorial and linguistic signs with an emphasis on socially-critical provocation. His work as an artist contributed to the creation of the New Art Practice movement. He exhibited in Croatia and abroad and participated in the Venice Biennale. His works are held in contemporary art museums in Croatia and worldwide.
