Slobodan Vuličević

VULIČEVIĆ, Slobodan, artist, essayist, writer (Cetinje, 2/14/1927 – Pula, 5/2/2009). He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1954 in the class of I. Režek. His professional training was led by Marino Tartaglia. He painted gesture abstractions, using calligraphic signs and metaphysical iconography. He was one of the cofounders of the Gorgona art group. He was a teacher and worked in Milan and Rovinj. He exhibited in Croatia and abroad and his works are held in museums and private collections.
