GOTOVAC, Tomislav, multimedia artist, filmmaker, actor, body artists, collagist (Sombor, 2/9/1937 – Zagreb, 6/24/2010). He graduated in film directing in Belgrade in 1976. He worked and lived in Zagreb from 1977. He began his career as an artist at the beginning of the 1960’s working in experimental film and multimedia research. Within the Festival of Experimental Film (GEFF) in Zagreb, he staged his first happening entitled Naš happ. He made twenty-odd experimental films, some of the more relevant including Afternoon of the Faun and Circles. He staged a number of performances, including Haircutting, Shaving, Zagreb, I love you! and others. He held exhibitions in museums worldwide and made a significant contribution to the Croatian contemporary art.
